This year’s Country Fair will go ahead over the Long Weekend 2-3 October 2010Come along to the Stroud Country Fair to discover the charm of this classic country village. Last year’s event was great—Click here to see some photo’s. Market stalls, live music, entertainment and activities are all on show by local people over the two days from 9am til 2pm. THIS YEAR, we are proud to be hosting a Heavy Horse Draft Field Day at our Showground—information coming soon! The Stroud Country Fair programme has something to please everyone! There is an information desk outside the courthouse in the main street—if you have any questions, come across for a chat. |

We are still finalizing our programme, but this is what we had planned for our 2009 event—2010 will be similar but with MORE! PROGRAMME… Details here are DRAFT only—yet to be confirmed... Saturday 3rd October: 9am: Market stalls—all along the edges of the main street Jumping Castle—Uniting Church grounds Face painting—main street Teddy Bears’ Picnic—kids activities from 9am—1pm, St Johns Rectory. Includes games and drawings of favourite bears entered in a local schools art competition Stroud Pharmacy—Lung Function testing (Lung Foundation endorsed) Appointments preferred - for more information about Lung testing click here 10am: Kahibah Brass Band, Uniting Church grounds, 10am—12noon Open Gardens scheme—various locations, click here for information Flower arranging competition display, click here for information Free guided tours of historic St Johns Anglican Church from 10am—4pm Stroud Fire Brigade OPEN DAY, 10—3pm 11am: “Mock Trial” at the old Stroud Courthouse Female Soloist “Peta” at the Stroud Central Hotel—on the verandah! 2pm: “Mock Trial” at the old Stroud Courthouse 7.30pm: “Mick Standon” live music at the Stroud Central Hotel
