Beautiful environment:

Stroud is a beautiful looking, healthy, rural area.  The environment and air is unpolluted.  There are a number of reserves and picnic areas with amenities and free bbq’s from which you can enjoy the lovely countryside, including Silo Hill, Stroud Showground and the riverside reserve.

Golf Club:

Stroud has a lovely 9 hole golf course with green fees under $20.00.  The clubhouse also offers refreshments and a bistro operates limited nights (mainly weekends).  The course is located only a few kilometers west of the township off the main road.

Swimming Pool:

The Stroud Public Swimming Pool is open from the October Long Weekend through to Easter each year and is free to use.  Children MUST be supervised.

Tennis Courts:

Can you believe these all weather courts are only $2.00 an hour to hire?  It’s excellent value and excellent fun.  You’ll need your own racquets and balls.  The key can be collected from the Capitol Café on the main street of Stroud.

Unique shopping:

Terra Cottage features an exciting range of giftware, furniture, artwork, clothing, handbags, jewellery and much more.  Located in a beautiful, bali-inspired garden, this mudbrick cottage also features a fabulous café serving great coffee and light meals and snacks.  Terra Cottage is on the main road as you head north, less than 1km from the Post Office along the Bucketts Way.  Ph: 4994 5338.

Crafty Friends is a consortium of items created by local arts and craftspeople as well as some antique furniture , second hand books and other bric-a-brac. Some home-made cakes and cookies and local produce are also for sale.  Located on the main street opposite the Stroud Central Hotel.
