Nestled less than an hour’s drive north of Newcastle,
Stroud is a truly beautiful village of historic buildings
and friendly people.

Many travelers have discovered Stroud on the Bucketts Way as they head towards Gloucester and Barrington Tops from the Pacific Highway, about 2.5 hours north of Sydney.
A truly rural environment in the hinterland of the Great Lakes region, Stroud Valley is also home to four boutique
vineyards.

With a short string of shops along the main street, and delightful vista’s from every corner, Stroud is attracting visitors seeking a quiet, undiscovered escape, reminiscent
of simpler times and country living.

Whilst Stroud is an ideal day-tripper’s destination, there are also a few accommodation options for those who appreciate the serenity.  Stroud is also an ideal launchpad for many destinations less than an hour away including:

· The Myall Lakes and coastal towns of Tea Gardens and Hawks Nest at Port Stephens

· The Hunter Valley

· The City of Newcastle

· Gloucester and Dungog

· Barrington Tops National Park
